Attorney Lawrence J. Farber, a founding partner of Farber & Lindley LLC Attorneys at Law, has been practicing law for over 30 years. Attorney Farber concentrates his practice on landlord-tenant law, discrimination, wrongful discharge from employment, personal injury, and general civil litigation.
He has extensive trial experience, in both jury and trials before judges, in the Housing, District, Superior, and Federal Courts. In addition to experience in appellate matters, he had trial experience before the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination. Attorney Farber was the chair of the Western Division Housing Court Bench-Bar committee from 2003 to April 2008 and was the co-chair of the statewide Housing Court Bench-Bar Committee.
Attorney Farber is a past member of the Massachusetts Bar Association subcommittee on landlord-tenant law and a past president of the Hampshire County Bar Association. He served a three-year appointment on the Board of Delegates to the Massachusetts Bar Association.
He was a member of the Board of Directors of the Massachusetts Bar Foundation from 2010-2018. He has chaired or conducted numerous continuing legal education panels on landlord-tenant law in both residential and commercial contexts. Attorney Farber has received his B.A. from the State University of New York at Buffalo and his J.D. from the Northeastern University School of Law in Boston, MA.
